Ireland

Galway, Doolin, Dingle & Dublin

Couples Trip September 2025

Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, out on the cliffs by day and in the pubs by night. Galway sets the tone, music spilling out the doors and nights stretching long over pints and fiddles. From Doolin, a cliff-top walk heads toward the Cliffs of Moher as they rise out of the mist, the wind off the Atlantic at your back. On the Dingle Peninsula, e-bikes follow Slea Head Drive along the edge of the continent with the Blasket Islands sitting offshore, and Dublin closes it out with one last Guinness.

Behind the Route

Five nights in Ireland for two couples, built around a stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way known as much for its live music as for its walking and cycling.

Best For Those after dramatic scenery, active days and the welcome of Ireland's west coast.

What started as my husband's annual golf trip became something more when we decided to extend the stay and make it a proper exploration of the west coast. Another couple joined us, the husband also over for the golf, and with the four of us together it felt like the right moment for Ireland.

The Wild Atlantic Way had long been on our list. All four of us like active days, and we wanted to pair them with Ireland's pubs and traditional music. With only five days, we focused on Galway, the Cliffs of Moher and the Dingle Peninsula, where we could have both.
