A waterfall spilling straight out of a loch, ruined castles at the water’s edge, hairy coos and beaches of white sand. It’s the Highlands you picture, with hardly anyone else on the road. Three generations share the van, from grandparents in their eighties to a grandson new to Scotland. Along the way, there’s plenty to keep him interested, including the game of croquet that hooked the whole family.
