This four-night trip on Grand Cayman pairs the ease of a beach holiday with a small island worth seeing more than one side of. Seven Mile Beach sets the rhythm, with long beach walks, sunset dinners by the water and easy days. One morning heads out to Stingray City, standing waist-deep as southern stingrays glide up over your arms. The quieter north side, a short crossing of the North Sound, brings hammocks between the palms and a slower island pace.

A girls' trip in April, four of us, close friends, four nights on Seven Mile Beach. After a long Toronto winter what we needed was chilled and quiet: warmth, an easy flight, and a beach we could walk on for as long as we felt like walking. Our days were long beach walks, easy meals, one day out on the water, and time together without much in the way of plans.
