Bio Habitat Hotel, AKEN SOUL Collection

Salento, Colombia

Countryside Boutique Hotel
Worth Considering

Perched at the highest point of a mountain above Colombia's Coffee Cultural Landscape, Bio Habitat sits within 160,000 square metres of native forest, its architecture dissolving into the canopy rather than competing with it. Habitats range from forest-immersed Aviaries, glass-walled rooms elevated among the trees, to Grand Master Suites with private pools and outdoor jacuzzis angled toward Andes panoramas. The Basto Resto Bar draws on Slow Food principles and local ingredients; the Bô Wellness Centre is an expansive area with pools, hot tubs, and a sanded spot to lounge. A tennis court and recreation area add a more active dimension to the stay.

What It Is

Zen-leaning, forest-adjacent, and more resort than it first appears.

What It Is Not

For guests expecting to step out for dinner in town.

Worth Considering

If Coffee Country is the stop and the group wants elevated rooms and a full set of amenities over a standard base.
