Fishers’ Loft Inn

Port Rexton, Canada

Countryside Inn + Guest House
Worth Landing On

A collection of traditional buildings on a hillside above Ship Cove, overlooking Trinity Bay and the wild Atlantic beyond, with the Skerwink Trail connecting directly to the property. Rooms are bright and uncluttered, furnished with handcrafted furniture and original artwork from Newfoundland makers. Breakfast is served in the dining room, beside the kitchen garden and greenhouse on site. Blueberry bushes line the footpaths between buildings, binoculars and hiking sticks come with every room, and in season, whales and icebergs drift past the bay below.

What It Is

A family-built coastal inn rooted in the peninsula it sits on.

What It Is Not

A place that works without a car or a willingness to slow down.

Worth Landing On

When the Bonavista Peninsula is on your Newfoundland itinerary and you want the hiking, the coastline, and a kitchen garden supplying your dinner.
