Follonico

Tuscany, Montefollonico, Italy

Countryside Estate
Worth Building Around

A 200-year-old farmhouse in the southern Tuscan hills, Follonico is an exercise in beautiful contradiction: stone floors and vaulted beams playing host to candy-coloured linens, mismatched crockery, vintage dresses hung on whitewashed walls, and ancient typewriters gracing dressing tables. Owners Suzanne and Fabio Firli run the six-room property as an extension of their own home, rooted in slow living and organic land stewardship. Breakfast is a three-course daily ritual of homegrown produce and fresh-baked sourdough. The infinity saltwater pool gazes out over vineyards and olive groves toward Montepulciano. The whole place feels borrowed from a Fellini fever dream.
