Across the road from Shah-i-Zinda, Khan Hotel turns Samarkand's main monuments into a walking day: Bibi-Khanym and the Siab Bazaar in about ten minutes, the Registan in under twenty. The hotel itself is modern, opened in 2023, with rainfall showers, a buffet breakfast and a small outdoor pool beside a steam room and hammam. It is practical rather than atmospheric, and there is no lift. Samarkand's old city starts across the road.

A modern, walkable base directly opposite Shah-i-Zinda.

A hotel with much character of its own.
