Martinhal Lisbon Chiado Family Suites

Lisbon, Portugal

City Boutique Hotel
Worth Landing On

In a 19th-century building on a cobblestone street in Lisbon's Chiado district, Martinhal has built a city hotel designed from the ground up for families. Apartments range from studios with bunk beds in the living room to two-bedroom suites with separate spaces for adults and children. A supervised kids' club runs from 6 months through early teens, and a dedicated baby concierge handles the logistics of travelling with infants. Tintin artwork in the children's bedrooms gives a sense of where the attention has gone.

What It Is

A city hotel built for families from the start, not retrofitted for them.

What It Is Not

A couples retreat or a design hotel for adults travelling without children.

Worth Landing On

When Lisbon is the destination and you're travelling with children, this is the hotel that makes the trip possible without compromise.
