Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo

Casco Viejo, Panama

City Boutique Hotel Accor Live Limitless Michelin Key, Condé Nast Traveler Awards, and Travel + Leisure Awards
Worth Landing On

Behind the original French colonial facade of the Club Union, the 1917 social club that once hosted Albert Einstein and Queen Elizabeth II, Sofitel has built one of only six Legend hotels in the world. Handmade patterned tiles run through the interiors, most rooms open onto balconies over the Pacific, and the pool deck sits right on the water with the modern skyline across the bay. Ammi, the rooftop bar, looks out over it all at sunset. Resort days on the water, with Casco Viejo's plazas, churches and restaurants a short walk away.

What It Is

The only luxury waterfront hotel in Casco Viejo, in a restored 1917 social club.

What It Is Not

A modern business hotel.
