Beach + Coast Estate Michelin Key
Worth Landing On

Richard Branson's 1,300-acre estate on Mallorca's UNESCO-listed northwest coast, where the Serra de Tramuntana mountains drop toward the Mediterranean. The 16th-century finca at the heart of it has been carefully restored, with the former olive press and chapel now serving as dining rooms where the head chef cooks almost entirely from what is growing on the estate that month. Days here divide naturally between the pool deck with its mountain and sea views, long afternoons on the terrace with a local wine, and the grounds themselves, threaded with coastal walking trails, vineyards, and olive groves. Some of the best cycling in the world is just beyond the gate.

What It Is

Richard Branson's restored 16th-century finca, on its own estate of vineyards and olive groves.

What It Is Not

For guests after a lively resort scene. This is deliberately subdued.

Worth Landing On

When the quieter, mountain-backed coast of Mallorca is the draw and a clifftop estate fits the stay.
