The Moorings

Port Magee, Ireland

Beach + Coast Inn + Guest House
Worth Considering

Portmagee is a small fishing village on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Kerry, and The Moorings has been its anchor since 1958. It sits right on the working harbour, thirty seconds from the pier where boats depart each morning for Skellig Michael, the UNESCO World Heritage site and Star Wars filming location. The restaurant serves seafood landed at that same pier. The Bridge Bar has a real fire, traditional music, and the atmosphere to match.

What It Is

A fun harbour pub, restaurant, and guesthouse thirty seconds from the Skellig Michael ferry.
