St. Lucia

South-West Coast

Beach + Coast Family Trip March 2019

St. Lucia's southern coast sits between the Pitons, sheltered and quieter than the north. The resort is built around the water: scuba, sailing and water skiing with the peaks as a backdrop, plus two boat days that take you along the coast to a cliff-jumping stop and out looking for dolphins. Getting off property is easy and worth it, with a cacao estate restaurant and a ridge-top sunset spot both a short drive away.

Behind the Route

A March break for a family with teenage boys who needed warm weather and enough activity to keep them off the beach chair.

Best For Families with active kids and teens who want water-focused days in a beautiful setting.

One week in St. Lucia over March break with the family. We wanted warm weather and somewhere with enough activity that the boys wouldn't spend the week restless on a beach chair. The Pitons, the water, the possibility of getting into the rainforest. A resort between the Pitons had been on my radar for a while, and a personal connection got us into an upgraded room.

Ages in group: Adults (30-65), Older Teens and 20s, and Young Teenagers (12-15)
